Today’s project was setting some pavers at the aviary door. Why are pavers at the aviary door necessary? You might ask… because the heathen child in the first photo runs so fast playing with the bird that she piles dirt in front of the door so much that it doesn’t open properly 😒

Miss Cheesecake broke one of her incisors (the front teeth). This isn’t uncommon in capybaras, and the tooth should actually grow back in just a few weeks.
It’s important to note that rodents don’t have the same nerve endings and such in their teeth that we do. Because their teeth are constantly growing, and needing to constantly be worn down, a broken tooth is a lot less painful than it would be for you.
