Okay... ITCH is just an alternative platform where you can buy a game. Some people don't like Patreon for various reasons. The game initially started its journey on Patreon. Patreon is a platform where the form of payment is a subscription system with monthly donations. This is a platform for people who do something cool and get support (donations). This motivates people to continue their work, improve and supplement their game every month. An indie developer is not some ROCK STAR games that can afford to develop a game for 5 years and then sell it. An indie developer does not have a budget for the game. He makes a pre-release and releases the first version of the game. And then, with the money from patrons, he can continue to develop it. Without Patreon, this game would not exist. Without patrons, this game cannot exist. If we assume that patrons stop donating, I, as a developer, will have no choice but to find another job. And the game will cease to exist.

2024-09-27 11:00:31 +0000 UTCEach version gets released for $10, because to my knowledge, itch doesn't have a feature where a seller can enable updates for those whose already purchased, which is why (again I'm just guessing) 2.0, & 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 are each individually priced at $10. However in my opinion, Ben should take down the listings for the previous versions since you TECHNICALLY get access to those versions in the most recent version... Also in your case, the only thing I can suggest is....subscribe here, because the subscription is monthly, and if you look at the previous release dates, Ben has been pretty on point for releasing an update once a month.
