Version 0.3.6 Release
Added 2024-04-30 01:16:07 +0000 UTCHey everyone, here's the latest game build: https://pixeldrain.com/u/aA4KL6Vr
The most obvious changes are that I've started to build out the new map as well as implement the game's dialogue system.
Regarding the map, it is very bare bones and I'm still deciding on how it will be laid out. Ultimately I want the island to be as open world as possible however I also have to keep in mind how to nudge players into routes that will facilitate gameplay. As you'll notice, the game will start with you arriving on a beach. The beach area is intended to be the starter area where the player will learn the basic locomotion controls.
Something that I will have to continue working on is how to best introduce controls/mechanics to the player with it feeling as natural and "in world" as possible. Something that I want to try and avoid is having things be explained solely from menus although those will still be present just in case. Obviously things are in a pretty basic state right now but going forward I'll need more feedback on what's confusing or not explained very well as its hard for me to judge given that I built the game and already know how it all works.
Something that I know isn't explained at all right now is how sex animations are contextual in terms of what is played. Speaking of sex animations, both creatures now have scenes that will play if Kyra is pregnant. In order to trigger animations that can get Kyra pregnant, for Waiya Wasps she has to be in an "aroused" state from masturbating before interacting with a Waiya Wasp. For Kokku roaches, throwing a potion at them (right mouse then left mouse) will put them in an aroused state and will lead to a vaginal animation when interacted with. Again this is an example of something I know isn't explained in game right now and will have to be worked on...
Also I've left the bad news for last as I apologize but her outfit still isn't quite ready to be brought into the game. It is however almost all done modelling and texturing and will now just require materials being added as well getting rigged before I can implement it in game. Here's how it's looking currently:
I know this isn't my first time saying this but I'm confident that the next build of the game will finally have her outfit implemented in game.
As for other things I hope to have in game in next month's build, I want to continue to work on the map as well start to implement the game's inventory system. I'll have more to talk about this in the mid-month update I'm sure.
Anyways, thanks again for all your patience and take care.
