Status Update

Selina Kyle was certain this time her luck had finally run out. She might be a cunning cat burglar, but now she’d been caught red-handed—by none other than the mighty Wonder Woman. There was no wriggling out of this one. Or was there?

A flicker of memory stirred. Whispers she'd heard in the darker corners of the city—rumors that the oh-so-noble superheroine had been struggling lately, her famed discipline and self-control slipping. Well then, Selina thought, maybe it was worth a try…

Status Update

First of all, thank you very much for your numerous and great feedback on the last video! 🤗

I've already taken some of it to heart and, for example, worked on the facial tools for the protagonists in PE2.

It's probably barely noticeable, but now there's more movement in the cheek area and generally in the face when Claire speaks.

Which brings us to the topic. I got back to the Persistent Evil 2 project and quickly realised why I keep running away from it through other projects and why it's been stuck in production hell for so long: the damn third character. A video really is so much more complex when a third character is involved. All the walking animations alone or, of course, the much more complex continuity supervision between camera angles.

In The Golden Grain, I could still hide Anya and Masha behind doors or in the corners of the inn - that's no longer possible here, as Excella is far too curious for that. So from an animation point of view, this is probably my most complex project to date.

Nevertheless, I'm having a lot of fun working on it again, because they are also very interesting animations to make. At the moment I'm roughly animating my way through the film and trying to proceed as chronologically as possible to keep an overview. I will continue to work on smaller sections in more detail so that I can show them as a WIP. But that's it for now. It will be an interesting journey and I look forward to having you with me. ✌️
