I've mentioned in the last post that I wanted to work on something different than the usual, that was part of a past poll and so, I started and have been working on this for the past few days
So what it is, well, obviously a body with some cybernetics that you'll be able to equip ingame. Of course, cyberpunk inspired, kinda exudes a "we have cyberpunk at home" vibe, but I find this stuff cool and I wanted to make something like this
Design for this is mostly my own and at present, I'd say that I've finished concepting which is showcased in the images in this post. Somewhat challenging trying to design an interesting look for this, there was a bit of back and forth to get here especially since I wouldn't consider myself great at this stuff
This doesn't look exactly how I want, or how I'd want it to look ideally, if I had full control, but I had to make some concessions. Biggest one is that it kinda stops a bit awkwardly at the neck, whereas I'd prefer it if it went upwards on the neck, but it's done like that for rigging concerns and so that I won't have to deal with anything regarding the head mesh that contains the neck part. Another concession with the design is that nothing pokes through the overall volume of the bodymesh. This is more of a choice though, as I want this to be compatible with my other clothing pieces, so you should be able to equip those over it and there will be no clipping
I'm ready, more or less, to begin polishing this and turn it into a proper highpoly model. The model will still change during this process, but it should hopefully be getting more straightforward from now on
Last image contains some smaller techy looking pieces. The model for those is done. Plan is to bake those on a flat texture and I will then stick those on the body, kinda like decals.
