I have no opinion for statues so far, but for mannequins I like something similar: some "model-number" or "inventory-id" (the upcoming mannquin will be part of the shop's inventory!) direct on the mannequin's body (best as tatoo in the skin _before_ she is transformed) and price-tags: after the transformation, first on the clothes it displays , later for the mannequin itself ... :-)
