Upcoming long form comic: Lunch
Added 2025-10-30 20:28:20 +0000 UTCI have written the script and I am in the process of drawing the new long form comic "Lunch". This will be radically different than the Columbus Day comic, as it features Julian and Stahli. At this point it is 12 pages long, and is a comedy. I want to demonstrate the dynamic between Julian and Stahli, which is extremely different than how Stahli behaves with Bingus. And it might be polarizing to realize how crass, rude, violent and outright unlikeable Stahli actually is when he doesn't have his sweetheart there to remind the audience that he is a good person at the end of the day. But who knows, this is intended to be the first in many of comics featuring these two together. Maybe they will grow together!
It is planned to release late November (this will not disturb my regular posting schedule as I will be doing both at the same time) and I hope you all will enjoy it!

2025-10-30 22:35:39 +0000 UTCI think this will actually be an important dynamic to see and will give us a better picture of who Stahli is and who he was. I always got the impression that Stahli was always rough around the edges, especially in the past, and his relationship with Bingus is what is teaching him to be a better, kinder person. Seeing this sort of contrast and more of each characters' past would actually enhance their characterization and make you appreciate their relationship even more. You realize how much each of them has changed and why it's such an important relationship in their lives. In a way, you've created something that's a stronger work of art by telling their stories out of order. It kinda reminds me of The Godfather Part II where we see what's happening now, then we explore the characters' past and/or what they're like around others and it completely reshapes how you view the initial dynamic.
