2025-05-25 20:44:53 +0000 UTCWARNING: SPOILER TERRITORY While this chapter is overall a bit less gripping than all other chapters so far, I completely understand the need to have breathers in the overall narrative - especially after the dramatic events of the previous chapter. And it works great for that purpose. It's also good to see that the new character's distrust turned out o be less of an issue than it could've been. Situation is tricky enough as is without infighting! Finally, as much as I enjoy finally having a H scene with Kallie I'm feeling MIGHTY torn about that one storywise. On the one hand, partaking finally lets the MC know about Kallies spousal issues - preventing more cellphone incidents and improving the group unity in general - but on the other hand, it does kind of feel like taking advantage of an emotional vulnerable person. Especially from Laura's point of view. Not to mention that as much as she and MC agreed that there'd be no strings attached to their own trysts, him having sex with another woman might still remind her quite unfavourably of her husband's infidelity. Especially with her being as emotionally raw as she currently is. So yeah... this scene has the potential for a breaking point of a very bad kind, and I'll definitely keep a save from before that choice. P.S.: Am I seeing things, or is Shelley one of the college girls we saw in the prologue?
