Ket's Update:
The Main Menu design is nearly ready for implementation!
While I expect this design to evolve slightly over time, I will continue working in this style as I build out the other menus and screens. I also wanted to mention that the map will be moving to its own screen that will be accessible (tentatively) via the M key or Select button as typical of similar games. More on all this later!
I've heard your reports of performance issues and I am currently working on them. Thanks for your feedback! I've already fixed one problem area involving old code that was loading several animations into memory unnecessarily, and I'm hoping to improve things even more! Performance is very important, especially as I vet the game for a possible Android port, so I will continue to make improvements wherever possible~
