From my graphic novel/memoir about the rc flying hobby and my passion for planes... for context, here's and earlier post. https://www.patreon.com/posts/10-mistakes-high-126390257?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link
So. Think you can't be heartbroken over a thing - a model? Well, I crashed my Funtana plane (pictured above) last week, and upset is putting it mildly. Shook up my flying confidence too. Didn't get to fly this one all on my own, instructor had been taking it up for me and let me try it out before he landed it. It was a used plane, I spent some time putting new covering on and getting the electronics installed, it builds a bond. Well, moving on.
Here's an idea I've had for awhile, the recent wreck pushed me to get it on a page. Ive heard this phrase from the flyers before - "they all come with an expiration date" - and wanted to use it in the story. I thought of the next line.
So here it roughly drawn.
