(This announcement was made just in case some of you guys didn't know as I didn't made one on here)
It's been quite a while since I have done art, I know. The motives behind this are because my job is making me go through crunch once again. Management is at it again and it has fucked me over once again, last time was on either March or April.
I am unable to tell you anything about it, as it's under Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) other than the project has a deadline of ~2-3 weeks from now on. We are going through horrid work hours, sometimes reaching the 12 hour mark (not even consistent, sometimes going over 12), for 5 days, making it 60+ hours a week. So far, this is mentally and physically draining me. Programming by itself already drains me, but doing it for 12 hours a day now is just making me lose even more of the sanity I have left. In case you are wondering, yes, we will get compensated with a 40% increased wage.
Will this be enough for a new PC? MAAAYBE. I have construction going on my house, we have been building a new room for the past 2-3 months and let me tell you, that shit ain't cheap. Although, it looks like it's probably going to be ready sometime soon, I cannot tell how soon, though.
Once the crunch period ends, I am not sure what I will do. One part of my tells me to extend my hiatus, another part of me tells me to go on full force with art, as around the time where crunch ends, some of my family living on my house will leave so yeah. I don't know what I will be doing once this awful crunch period ends. But I guess we'll see.
(context: some family members had some health problems and their local hospital is unable to treat them, so they came to my city and my house to live here in the meantime while hospitals treat them. For the past 1.5 months they have been living here, making my privacy situation even worse, now having to do art at 2 am)
Personally, I am feeling pretty bad, I hope you guy's days are better, though. I will see you soon, stay very safe out there.
