Commissions On Indefinite Hiatus
Added 2025-02-22 18:50:49 +0000 UTCHey guys, sorry for the bad news. I'm afraid that even if I have you on my commissions list going back several years now, it's just not going to get done. I didn't say no to anybody that first week and ended up having almost 100 people on that list and after a few years I'm only at like 60% completion. It's just not feasible.
I'm putting my energy into Patreon, while working on that backlog of commissions here and there, but at this rate they won't be done for several more years. And on top of that, I haven't been able to work on anything else because of it. I was hoping that Zelda comic would be out when Tears of the Kingdom launched, but instead I haven't really touched it since 2023, the year the game came out. I have projects I want to do, both personal and to put up for sale that I simply have not had the time or energy to work on. The commissions list has been hanging over my head for so long and I think it's finally time to be realistic about it.
But there are lots of artists who don't commissions at all, so I think at least trying counts for something, right? I did my best, but I just can't handle the workload I put in front of myself. I will probably open them again in the future, but like... 2 or 3 at a time. Y'know, like a normal person would do. At that time, I will post about it on here on Patreon first, and anybody who already had a slot on my big list will get priority, but for now just considered them closed and halted.
I'm sorry for anybody who has been waiting or has messaged me about the status of their commission, but this is how it is. Eventually I'll get back to doing them in general, but for now I just can't. I initially needed the income badly back in 2020 but that's no longer the case. Plus the back surgery last year was less successful than I was hoping, so I can't count on being able to work as much as I would like.
Thanks for understanding, and in the future I will be a lot more pragmatic about scheduling these things. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a blue-skinned blonde princess that needs my attention.

Sorry to hear that your surgery didn’t go as well as planned! Thats got to be a terrible situation. I think it’s good to be open and honest with struggles and it sounds like all of these are coming together and heading towards burnout which is never a good situation. I’ve always loved your art and would hate to lose you to more burnout so take your time!

2025-02-22 20:42:55 +0000 UTCTotally reasonable, you’re not the first person to bite off more than they can chew! Just keep trucking on, the pile of comms will slowly dwindle until you’re all finished! Always put yourself first, friend 😌

2025-02-22 20:35:22 +0000 UTCAnd here I was unaware you even did them! But honestly your reasoning sounds, well, entirely reasonable! Maybe in a few years, eh? Until then, make them spheres, spherefriend!

2025-02-22 19:29:19 +0000 UTCHey there, as someone who was on the list waiting, I totally understand what you gotta do. I have seen other artists take WAY too much on their plate and either overwhelm themselves and burnout and I rather you not do the same. Physical/mental/personal struggles are another and again, I don't wanna see you overwhelmed due to these things. Take your time and/or what you must do first.

2025-02-22 19:00:06 +0000 UTCTotally understandable. Just happy to have you back in the art game, last thing I'd want is for you to get burnt out again! Glad to see whatever content you put out. 😄🫐
