Walking Camera Mod – Launch Version

Token generation and access are handled through the Discord link

After a dedicated cycle of development and testing with a restricted group, this first version of the Walking Camera Mod is ready for release.

The goal is straightforward: introduce human-like movement into Assetto Corsa with a consistent, natural, and usable experience. Walking, running, and crouching have been implemented with a focus on smooth transitions and refined control, minimizing artificial behavior and preserving camera stability.

The intention was not only to enable movement, but to bring the game closer to a more human visual language. A subtle step movement was added to simulate external footage, along with camera shakes intended to provide a degree of realism. These elements will continue to be improved in upcoming versions as the project evolves.

Regarding the ability to enter and exit the car, the feature is not yet ready for use. A full review of the SDK does not currently provide a safe and compatible way to implement this functionality reliably. The mechanic existed in a DevBuild through the E key, but input conflicts with the vehicle prevented proper implementation in Practice and Online sessions. This will remain a priority for future development stages.

Although multiple internal builds were created, this is the first public version with paid access. Progress from this point will be guided by real-world usage and feedback from those who support the project.

That's what you can do using the walking camera mod.

The mod includes a functional preset system. It comes with a personal preset named “russozl” and an additional preset created by tester Dattrius.

Usage instructions are included in the package. The control mapping follows familiar standards, allowing for quick adaptation.

To maintain distribution control, a token system linked to Discord has been implemented. On first launch, the app will remain locked. To unlock, users must generate a token through Discord and place it in the token.txt file.

This version establishes the foundation for what the Walking Camera Mod aims to build: a more living, explorable, and human-driven perspective within Assetto Corsa. Development will continue steadily, guided by practical use and real feedback.

Thank you to everyone who supported this initial phase.
