Walking Mod v0.2 — Flashlight, Tracking Mode & Core Reworks

This update took longer than it should have. Not because of scope creep, but because a lot of ideas didn’t fit together at first. Some things failed, some had to be rethought, and that cost time.

Exit Car & Walk Mode

while the app is active, pressing E will make you exit the car and walk around freely. to drive again, simply enter the car as usual.

if you exit the car and disable the app, the handbrake will remain engaged. ...

Mobile Cam 1.4.4 Performance Fixes and Major Improvements (old passenger pov)

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay and for the broken state of the previous Mobile Cam version. A significant amount of work was required to make everything function properly again.

Since I had to rework almost everything from the ground up, I decided to address multiple areas at once: UI, physics, new modes, and bug fixes.

Critical Bug Fix

Finalizing for Early Access – Realistic Walking Mod

We’re getting close to the first release of the Realistic Walking Mod.
I’m adjusting the last details and fixing the remaining bugs. Since the first post, several dev builds have been released and improved.

So, besides smoother movement, the height relative to the ground has been fixed.
Issues with bridges or sinking into the asphalt now happen much less frequently — almost never.

The save/load system is finally functional.

Beginning of the Walking Mod Development for Assetto Corsa

This is officially the start of the walking mod’s development, though it’s already far from version 0.1, where the first idea took shape.

The goal is to make the mod feel complete and realistic, not just a simple “walk forward and back” mechanic like in Counter-Strike. The vision is for it to feel alive.

The focus isn’t responsiveness but configurability and immersion. Imagine being at a car meet in-game and being able to film every angle of a car effortlessly. No stiff,...

Passenger POV 1.0 Mobile Cam Update

Now, when you’re pointing the camera and an extreme lateral G-force hits, there’s much stronger interference. It makes it harder to keep the camera steady — almost like a G-force recoil (example).

The old “box effect” at max displacement is gone. Before, it felt like hitting a wall or clipping when reaching the limit. I increased max displacement significantly and balanced it with new centering effects.

Latest Updates Insta360 0.9

Major Development Update

Working with Lua and CSP comes with a limitation: I cannot attach the camera to a specific part of the car. The only option is to attach it to the car’s world position, which is the central axis of the car. This causes the effects to be slightly dampened, but even with this, the improvements represent a significant step forward toward a major update.

update insta360 curvature of the stick, correct calculation of g-force, and 360 camera

insta360

As I delved deeper into the mathematics behind it, I realized that what really bothered me was the lack of curvature in the bar when it reached its limit. I corrected this by adding curvature so the bar bends naturally at its limit.

Another issue was the excessive oscillation, even when the car was stationary. I had originally added this effect to increase sensitivity and make the bar flex more, but over the course of the project it became unnecessary. You can still ena...

Mobile Cam 0.9.4 – New Vectors, Elbow Movement

New vectors added to Mobile Cam in an attempt to simulate arm movement. I tried to fix previous issues and added a soft manual roll based on references I studied. The goal was to replicate the elbow logic: imagine you're holding your phone to film a car ahead — now move your arm up and down to simulate G-force. That’s the motion I tried to capture. It might be a bit exaggerated for now, and there are many new settings, but I’d say some aspects are improved. Just be patient.

Insta360 Mod Update: Lateral Pendulum Fix 0.5

Here are a few tweaks to correct the lateral pendulum, which was following the car's movement. That was wrong. Now, the pendulum swings correctly: if you turn right, the g-force will push the camera to the left, and vice versa.

Third-Person Insta360 Cam Mod for AC

We're getting close to a functional Insta360-style camera with proper vector behavior. I spent a few days studying references and trying to build something "global" where you can choose how much camera sway you want.

Check the video — G-forces are now smoother, and long tracks aren’t a problem anymore (at least not on CSP 2.12). You can also move the camera with the mouse.

FOV still isn’t working right, so for now I’m using photo mode.

Mobile Cam Update – New Motion Vectors

Something had been bothering me in the last versions of Mobile Cam. The movement felt too robotic and linear. Yes, there was vertical motion, but something was missing. That’s when it hit me: there was no shoulder, elbow, arm, or wrist movement.

This stuff isn’t simple. The more axes you add (like elbow and wrist), the more vector values you need to balance. It’s a delicate process to make it feel natural.

I added these extra motion layers — even subtly — and the result ...

Mobile Cam Update – Major Fixes, Smoother Physics, and More!

I’ve reworked the Mobile Cam physics with a focus on smoothness and manual control for cinematic shots and drift fans.

The lateral movement was too stiff compared to acceleration/braking forces, so I rebalanced both for a more cohesive feel. Motion is now smoother overall, and you can fine-tune it to your style. It might feel strange at first, but you'll dial it in quickly.

Manual roll control has been added for cinematic or amateur drifting takes.

Russozl MobileCam Passenger 0.9.2 – Now with Fully Functional Animated Arm Out Feature

How it works:

Think of it like setting keyframes.

  • Set IN position: Move the camera to where it should be when the arm is inside the car. Save it as your IN position.
