Mobile Cam Update – Major Fixes, Smoother Physics, and More!
Added 2025-07-06 14:15:19 +0000 UTCI’ve reworked the Mobile Cam physics with a focus on smoothness and manual control for cinematic shots and drift fans.
The lateral movement was too stiff compared to acceleration/braking forces, so I rebalanced both for a more cohesive feel. Motion is now smoother overall, and you can fine-tune it to your style. It might feel strange at first, but you'll dial it in quickly.
Manual roll control has been added for cinematic or amateur drifting takes.
The "arm out" system works but feels clunky—especially with cars of different sizes. I’m working on a way to simplify and add saving presets.
Currently, Mobile Cam behaves like a stabilized phone camera. Next step: a pro-level handheld rig simulation—raw, no stabilization, inspired by Hardnett Media and similar creators.
Obs Chase Cam is solid. I’m also testing trajectory cams. Based on feedback, I’m building an all-in-one solution like CamTool + CamSwitch + DroneCam, so streamers don’t need to touch anything mid-run. This will take time but it’s in the works.
MAIN FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
Based on your feedback, here’s what’s been fixed and improved:
FIXED: Slow Pitch Effect Removed
That sluggish forward/back tilt caused by suspension movement is gone. Acceleration and braking now feel sharp and responsive. (You can turn the effect back on, but it’s off by default.)FIXED: Balanced Lateral Movement
Lateral G-force now matches longitudinal force, making curves feel more natural and less jarring.FIXED: Continuous Controls (WASD / Z / X)
Movement keys and the new manual roll controls now respond continuously while held down—just as they should—giving you smooth, real-time camera input.
Thanks for the support. The Mobile Cam download will be available soon.
