What started as a brainstorm to think up more for Capiturato's origin turned into a brainblast for how to expand the Cherubish and Impish

Also reposting some of the older sketches for Impish! I made sure the humanoid faced greater impish's (all one of them that isn't Rogeregor) remain canon by just having them able to swap between the bestial face and the one resembling their mortal self.

EDIT: In the first stream i drew em I tried out hyper, wasn't for me. Going forward I'm phasing that out entirely. If you want to draw that for yourself then go right ahead, but I won't be.

IMPISH LORE
Ignoring any variants, I think the basic idea for the Impish is that they look like 2D shadows with fiendish, caprine features and a single stylized eye. Their powers preside over manipulation, whether over matter, mind or soul. Claiming shadows, morphing bodies, changing minds; all things an Impish is more than happy to do, seemingly just for fun. They like to go after kindhearted and humble people most, reveling in making them act like a douchebag, and appear to have a taste for overt exaggerated masculinity in the extremes. They often preside in dark recesses, in packs numbering around a dozen.

CHERUBISH LORE
Cherubish the lighter counterpart to the Impish, appearing as a mostly white silhouette with gold accents in their halo and tail and leaving no shadow. While Impish must walk or slip through shadows, Cherubish are able to fly at slow speeds akin to a walking pace. They rarely touch ground for travel. Their powers preside over Enhancement; enchanting, buffing allies or empowering heroes, they live to make things better. (By their own judgement.) Their enhancements only last for as long as they maintain them,whereas a Greater couldn't take away their own blessing if they tried, which they won't. The Lessers often work together if they can agree on what "better" is.

ORIGINS OF THE "GREATER"
Greater -Ish's require mortal bodies to form, and the cooperation of many lesser -Ish's to transform the mortal into their new form. The -Ish's involved merge with the new Greater in this process, fully altering their mind as well.

The Impish will infest and corrupt a mortal host for many months or even years on end, depending on the severity of the infestation. When the host's soul has been fully corrupted, the Greater forms beneath the skin before ripping it's way out. By this point, the mortal IS the Greater, so this is a painless process. Due to the hedonistic nature of the Impish, and the self-adoration of their influence, Greater Impish are completely vain showoffs.

The Cherubish will enhance a chosen mortal over a period of time, shaping them into the "best" version of themselves. After a time, Cherubish seem to decide a mortal is "perfect", and that there is only one way to improve them. They perform a ritual to fuse their light to the mortal and transform them into a Greater. Between the attitude of the Cherubish and their gifts to the mortal, Greater Cherubish are extremely conceited.

In either case, not much asking going on.
