GP5 Modular System (Reupload)
Added 2025-05-27 19:05:41 +0000 UTCHey all,
I think due to my poor memory and the way Patreon works, some folks are unsure about who GP5 module works on what. So I am re-uploading the files so hopefully it's clearer.
The system I am uploading is the Original GP5 platform, which I am now dubbing GP5 Modular System,
This requires removing the valve system on the front following this guide https://www.kb3d.co.uk/post/how-to-modify-the-gp5#:~:text=Don%27t%20want%20to,the%20following%20items%3A
This is NOT the new GP5 platform in which the 3D printed assembly goes over the original valve.
There are many modules in this system. However they come in two flavours. The first is "Screw". The screw utilises an insert which locked into place with the metal ring (The same as the S10 System). This insert provides a screw thread for modules to be screwed in and out of. The second is "non-screwed"- this is for masks where you don't need to swap modules in and out. For example I have a GP5 with a Non-screw rebreather module as I often use that for play sessions.

I will make things clearer. appreciate the feedback :)

Don't want to modify the mask at all? This is also not to worry. We a new solution for you, the GP5 platform. To assemble the GP5 platform you need the following items: GP5 Gas Mask Male NATO40 screw The GP5 Unit The flexible seal The NATO40 connectors and inserts The Male NATO40 screw, the GP5 Unit, the flexible seal are only referenced on the tutorial, not other information or printable files on what they are can be found on here or on your store. On the product page for the New GP5 Platform the main "unit" is just called "the body" the guide calls it the GP5 Unit, and there is no mention of the Male nato screw. The product page talks about rotating valves, you send people to the guide for assembly instructions which don't mention valves at all instead talk about a male nato screw. I don't want to appear nit picking, but the products are really hard to understand, maybe it is just me, maybe not. The guide you keep linking needs rewriting, best to put it on a new post (better for seo) and link to the product and the guide, its much better to link to the guide rather than telling users to "vist guide page for assembly tutorial." (written with good intentions, to make it a better experience for potential customers, not to poke holes, honet :) )
