Sims 4 - Vanilla+ Mod List:

For a while, I have wanted to make a mod and custom content master list of all the mods I use on a regular basis to enhance the game to look somewhat presentable and ‘aesthetic’. So, without further a-do, here it is!

Essential CAS Mods:

These are the mods that make create-a-sim so much better and easier to navigate!

Essential In-Game Mods:

These mods I cannot actually load the game without - I use them for everything, especially the weather and time control in UI Cheats Extension!

CAS Custom Content:

These are probably my most favourite pieces of custom content ever, they enhance the game so much without giving it that look of there being custom content in the game.

Environment / Lighting Mods:

The Sims’ natural lighting tends to be really blue and overall very artificial looking. These mods are perfect for giving the game a heightened realism (and just some very pretty sunsets/sunrises).

GShade (similar to reshade) is an external mod that acts as an overlay to the sims - @oshinsims has a great video explaining how to install the programme and how to add presets etc - https://youtu.be/bzaSskKHeE8

Miscellaneous Mods:

These mods are super useful and add so much flavour to the game. Although I don’t use all of these on a regular basis, they’re definitely worth looking into as I believe adds the much needed realism to the game.

I hope this was helpful, this is pretty much all the stuff I use when I want to play the game but want to keep it vanilla. I’m sure there are definitely some mods out there that I haven’t discovered yet and if so, please comment them for me to check out!

Just for, transparency I suppose, my mods folder is around 11GB and has just over 3,000 files - I have other bits of custom content and mods from other creators, but the main bulk of that is by the ones listed above!
