August 10 Update

Last week I talked about the balance between making progress and spending time on update posts, so this week I thought I'd give a sort of visual scattershot of things I've been working on recently. Most of my work is not artist management, but it's less time-consuming and more visually dynamic to show some pictures than to type up a bunch about my work.

So, without further ado, here are four WIP images!

First up, Kali and I continue to work on assets for Slave Rehabilitator. This set is figuring out some expressions for Kyuble, everyone's favorite tentacle friend. It's good to move these along in the background so that, ideally, when I have more free time in my schedule I'll be able to begin production.

Next, I hope Annikath won't mind me sharing one of our rough sketches! The characters are just outlines because TLS orgies can include an absurd number of bodies, and the work gets multiplied when we sometimes consider multiple angles or approaches to a scene. This lets us test out basic ideas before Annikath goes to the hard work of fully rendering the scene.

DStP continues to chug along in the background, though some of the artists are more reliable than others. The background artist sent me the next WIP for World 5, which is mostly fine but needed a couple modifications before he can move on to finishing the details. These are just rough blocks of color to represent the objects that will be fully drawn later.

And finally, I was so distracted by the TLS postgame that I failed to realize that I actually hadn't commissioned a cover for the newest TWC book (which just finished posting). The artist and I went back and forth on details in uncolored WIPs before getting to this, so in theory they will quietly work on it for a week or two before delivering the colored version. After it will need lettering and such, but hopefully the release process won't have undue delays.

Okay, I hope this has been entertaining. Hopefully next week I will finally get a bit of a break, and if so I might take some time to finish up that longer text post. See you then!

Wasn't sure if I should leave some money on itch.io or use Patreon, but the choice has been made! I'm sad that I only noticed a few days ago that this game exists, but on the other side, I'm happy to be able to play the game from start to finish right from the get-go! Thanks for creating such an exprience, and prove, that it doesn't need a big studio to create an amazing game with a well crafted story. Looking forward to further updates on 'TLS' and further projects! (/≧▽≦)/

Hello! Glad to have you back. ^-^

Hey Sierra, I'm happy to be back supporting you and playing TLS! After all that time, I just straight up started a brand new playthrough and what can I say, I already passed the 80+ hour mark lol It's crazy to realize that this doesn't include my non-Steam playthroughs, which make up the majority. All in all I might have spent 500+ hours on this game during the last decade. Jesus, I basically grew up with that game now that I think about it... Anyway, so far I'm having a blast, enjoying all the balancing improvements and new abilities. Gameplay feels way less restrictive that way and I have fun trying out different party comps. And the art really turned out well, I can only estimate what all those illustrations must have cost / are still costing you, so happy for you that this amount of effort is economically feasible. Also, really looking forward to the Sci-Fi project you mentioned, I have to say that TLS basically introduced me into the fantasy genre, Sci-Fi hits much closer to home for me personally so I'm excited to see your ideas. Anyway, back to satisfying my TLS - autism , 80 hours's still a rookie number I say...
