July 20 Update
Added 2025-07-20 17:00:08 +0000 UTCAlright, two housekeeping issues, then trailer talk. First, the postgame is going to go public on Friday, then we'll begin talking about all the changes between this and version 1.0.0. Second, there were some mildly positive opinions about selling games directly on Patreon, but not many. Right now I'm making no changes, though all it would take is one person asking for the option for me to implement it.
(As a reminder, current patrons only need to message me for games. This would be a feature for those who don't want to use subscription services.)
That said, let's talk about the TLS trailers again! There are three files attached to this post: a new version of the first trailer, then two alternative versions of the second.
The first trailer is, again, to give a high value indicator when autoplaying. This version has a slower middle section that tries to capture some of the non-combat feel off the game: investing and having an impact on the world. While I'm open to all feedback, I can't accept every piece of it, and ultimately need to do what I think is best for the game.
The second trailer is for those who are invested enough to keep watching after that. It is too long (the video editor said as much), but it's easier to cut than to add. So if you watch, feel free to say which character spotlights you think should be kept. There are two different cuts of this one: one uses sex-adjacent art and the other does not. Of course only one version of this will be used in the end, aside from decisions about which characters remain featured.
I'm working on some other stuff too, trying to touch up the Patreon and otherwise get ready for the eventual release. But overall I'm afraid I'm a bit burnt out. Maybe I'll have good news next week, maybe it will just be a quieter check-in as I recover from the (hopefully smooth) public release. Thank you all for following my career.

another cool moment in the game is the arclent war, when the cavalry captain chooses to: help succubi/orcs against the unsuccubi, leave them to die, it's a good way to showcase how you as a player can change the game's world for the better through your actions or not

The issue is that I'm biased since I already know the characters (on top of my own preferences). (Also, sadly, showcasing Sarai might backfire due to, uh, misunderstandings – people don't know there are halflings in the game... perhaps this is something that one of the text boxes should spell out.) But most importantly, you need to find *somehow* fresh eyes that would criticize how this looks like to someone that doesn't know tLS.
