July technical build!

Now we rolling! This July Work in Progress build is something that we could call a "playable". Still missing some important mechanics, but... you can actually fight with AI opponent!

Please, check it out and share your thoughts! What do you like the most? What is actually terrible? What fixes do you think could make it better? Is everything clear?

re: 4: Well, the animation would play on screen, very noticeably :D not sure if a small icon is better than that. And to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't even want the UI to show me who won the rock/paper/scissors contest - I'd rather be surprised and see it on the screen. Seeing it in the UI, any kind of surprise is ruined, and grabbing on to the chair in a tight match is part of the fun.

Great! Thanks for your input! Let me follow it step by step: 1. That was actually my plan! I want to change it to appropriate power&etc icons, but I'm afraid that it will be much more unclear why sex submission beat energy and power beat sex. And how people should remember that... Maybe I need some other way to show possible moves, like color things on move icons or something... I'm not sure. 2. Good point. I'll return to this when the timer will be ready (time to make a move decision will be limited) and skip the move if there is no energy to use skills. 3. For now, it's just a placeholder for submission prolongation/brake mechanics. There is no way to know how long the submission will be, cos it will be determined each turn. Maybe this turn will be the last one, or maybe it will hold for another one. So the only way is to count how many rounds it's already active 4. Well, I'm not sure why I actually made it this way either :D But my goal was to show a couple of things: which move was selected by the opponent, which category it was and clearly show which move is a winner. We can speed up this process a little bit, but I think it should take some time for players to notice what is happened there. And I'm not sure we want to keep that part of UI on the screen when the animation is running. (I believe that people who came for erotic experience would complain a lot about it)

oh, shit. mega is so stupid and didn't update the link after updating the file. I uploaded version 2 to both hosts and google update the link automatically and mega keeps linking to the old version

Bunch of thoughts: 1. Would be much better to change the rock/paper/scissors icons to whatever they are supposed to mean. I cannot put a strike into the scissors slot, and the reason for that is not really intuitive. 2. When Tired and the moves are disabled, why wait for player input? It felt confusing when I realized that I cannot move, only press End Turn, and it took me a while to figure out why. Maybe highlighting somehow the tired aspect, and proceeding with the move without waiting for the player to press End Turn would be better. 3. Maybe the submission counter should start at 3 and count down to 0. Right now it's not particularly clear what the maximum value it can count to is 4. I'm not sure what purpose the animation of the winning move going into the End Turn button serves, apart from making me wait longer and making the fight feel sluggish. Just highlighting the winning move and keeping it visible for the whole duration of the turn would accomplish the same thing, while making things feel more dynamic.

So it's only the google drive version that was updated :) I kept re-downloading the Mega version, to find things were still not working.

I seem to win all the turns. I.e. the opponent never gets a turn. If I'm supposed to see the opponent filling in one of the rock/paper/scissors placeholders at the bottom, it's not happening, I just get the message that "X win the turn" - where X is the name of my character (also should be 'wins').

Hm... Am I understand right that you didn't see characters only in the fighting scene? Did the character editor/character selection screen works for you? Also, do you put new game files to the separate folder? I mean not overwriting the previous build, but keep them in completely unrelated place?

Hey Sam, I have an issue with the new build I didn't have with last months. No characters are showing up, just a black background. All the UI is there and the rock paper cards but just no models! Updated my drivers in case that was the issue.
