If you have trans friends? Trans family members? Seriously watch over them, especially once Trump takes office... I'm sincerely not trying to be conspiracy minded, but we're one issue the left have seemed completely content with rolling over on... Over $200million was spent by the right on targeted attack ads on trans rights, whether it's child healthcare, bathrooms, sports, or trans healthcare in general with the democratic candidates rolling over on the issue in several states... The RNC was absolutely dripping with trans vitriol with nearly every speaker making at least some mention about their distaste for trans people existing, with the DNC literally not mentioning it once. Trump has said day one he would end child treatment of any kind for trans children, outlaw trans healthcare in general, and will sue pharmaceutical manufacturers that provide HRT... And nearly universally the left just doesn't seem to care at all, and honestly seem mostly okay with it. There is so much other shit going on with this election that I'm not saying we should be front and center on everyone's mind... But I really really hope/wish that people, when they start fighting/resisting/whatever don't let us get left in the gutter like they did for pretty much this entire election...

You have to be registered as *something* – if you're not registered, you can't vote. But anyone can register as "No Party Preference," at least here in California. This is just my (Jonathan's) anecdotal understanding, but many of us on the "Left" have bounced back and forth from being a registered Democrat to No Party Preference multiple times over the years.

Only just now having the mental fortitude to listen to this. Question: do you have to be registered as some flavour of politics in the US?? When Katy said she didn't want to be a democrat but might be a registered independent, like, it's there no option to be just, unregistered?
