So what you’re saying is that charisma and folksy charm are enough to distract from world-ruining policies of every kind? But, but, Cody, no, no, what you suggest is horrible, nobody would ever consider taking advan….. AAAGGHHHHHHHHH!!! The CORN!!!!! It’s got me!!! AAAAAAGGGHHH

When I was in 8th grade (1985), on the day our gym/health teacher made us weigh ourselves in front of the whole class, he and a boy in my class were making AIDS/Rock Hudson jokes and laughing hysterically. This was my first year at a new school in a new state (NC). I immediately decided I wanted to flee the area upon reaching adulthood. It took longer than expected but I finally made it out west to CA and was lucky enough to stand on an overpass of the 101 as Reagen's hearse/coffin went under, on the way to the Regan Library and I had the privilege to give him the double-middle fingers.

Pelicans are my favorite dinosaur

---also a kid in the 80s; I remember we had to do the Cold War era hide under the desk routine that had stopped previous to Reagan...

I was a kid in the 80s but I felt the Reagan years and wished I could vote. I learned a lot even things I had assume were Clinton fault 🤔 as if he couldn't be more a slime ball.

i was in my 20s when i saw on the news that trump was elected... and i knew what he was going to do... and where it would lead and here we are... 8 years later... and i have not been surprised a single time - outraged, frustrated, sad... but never surprised i didnt know much about reagan at that point... but i knew quite a bit about german history - and i gotta say... now i am surprised, that this is the second run of this for the US...

I was 15 when Reagan was elected and I wept. I knew even then what he was going to do.
