I’m so excited for the Reagan episodes. My absolute favorite SMN features are the ones that help me understand the stuff I couldn’t pay attention to in school. Her point about voters / people that live around her that she's talked with is totally believable and people that live in most places in this country have these people in their communities and lives. People get told over and over by our media the same things. Of course they're going to think that inflation is caused by the president and not by price gouging and corporate greed. Most things people are exposed to are going to be neo liberal/center right because that's what's they're taught since an early age and is profitable to try to reinforce. Also, Katy's last joke about the hawk tuah girl crushed it. Just wanted to give some love <3

2024-07-05 21:49:12 +0000 UTCFor sure, Kamala Harris (or anyone, really) is more likely to win than Biden. But the root of the problem is still centrism within the party. When centrists get power, they use it to reinforce the status quo, even when the status quo is immoral, unpopular, and biased against them. We see that in the US Democrats, UK Labour, Canada Liberals, etc. When leftwing or rightwing parties get power, they use it to reinforce their own power and to do popular things.
