Added 2023-10-21 04:03:25 +0000 UTCHi. Katie Goldin is on today's Even More News with Katy and Cody to discuss the ongoing ethnic cleansing going on in Gaza, the finger-pointing over the massacre at Al-Ahli Hospital, and Joe Biden pretending to care about Palestinians while continuing to support dropping bombs on them.

You should read a translated version of the Arabic language version of AJ. It's completely different than the English version and they are not shy about their feelings toward the Jews.

2023-10-26 15:23:58 +0000 UTCY'all got a follow up on the atrocity at the hospital now that it's clear the victims weren't killed by Israel? Do their deaths still matter if they died at the hands of Palestinians?

2023-10-24 18:18:51 +0000 UTCJewish people around the world & in Israel are calling for a ceasefire, in the US Jewish people protested for peace & got arrested. It is too easy to say that leaders don't want peace, that's ignoring all the Jewish-led & Palestinian-led organisation in diaspora & in Israel-Palestine who are organizing for peace & have been for decades. The so called "2 state solution" is a ideological remnant of 19th century Europe's view on geopolitic (basically thinking that if they divided land, one people = one state, they wouldn't have war anymore, a ridiculous idea that people of different identity can't get along that is only spouted by people hungry for war or division). Palestinians need a State in the sense that they ceased to be citizens of a country. Any country. They need status as citizens, with a State garanteeing them rights, the same rights as all citizens of that country. That's why it's called an aparatheid. Palestinians are being denied civil rights & protection of the State they live/lived in. That can be amended. It can be fixed. Reparing doesn't mean tits-for-tats or undoing what cannot be undone as you said. It's going forward together, with caution, making sure that the people that are still here, that are alive are afforded dignity, respect, citizenship, voting rights & representation in instituyions of whatever State it is they live in. That the people can return to their ancestral home, or as close as possible, not relocating people forcibily, but talking it out at the local level, case by case, with neutral intermediary, finding solutions that work for everyone. Peace is hard but it can happen. If only we try.

2023-10-23 20:23:04 +0000 UTCI mean seriously though, it's so good right! Many many hours in the Tav'ern on that one hehe. Like hundred and hundreds of hours lol. During the plague times, it was like a legit life saver kinda. Anyhow, time well spent! No doubt

2023-10-22 20:33:09 +0000 UTCi mean look at the choices we're given. any attempt to elect someone better is immediately smacked down by every institutional power there is, and we're surrounded by a trillion dollar propaganda machine designed to condition us to accept the unacceptable. the fig leaf of our supposed representative democracy ain't covering up very much these days.

2023-10-22 15:14:45 +0000 UTCBy coincidence the city where I live has the same size and population as Gaza, so it's all too easy for me to imagine what would happen here if someone cut off food, water, and electricity, blocked anyone from leaving, dropped 1000 bombs per day, and ordered half the city to evacuate into the other half. And my city is much more prosperous and resiliant than Gaza because we haven't had decades of economic blockade. There's no question in my mind that the IDF is deliberately committing ethnic cleansing

2023-10-22 12:32:35 +0000 UTCI'm sick of people doing the "Israel has a right to defend itself" cause yeah they did, the night of October 7th they had the right to protect their country from an invading terror cell, they decided to not want to do that. They decided to ethically cleanse the west bank. Stop the bombs.

2023-10-22 07:51:24 +0000 UTCI agree that Israel's response is awful. I agree they are committing human rights violations. They are doing this all wrong and should stop doing all these wrong things. And I hear you condemning Hamas and their atrocities against the Israeli citizens on 10/7. What I'm not hearing, though, are your thoughts about the atrocities Hamas is committing against its own citizens when they know that committing violence against the Goliath next door will exact so much carnage because Hamas uses the citizens of Gaza as human shields. Yes, the carnage needs to stop, but Hamas is not interested in finding a peaceful solution to this. They do not want a 2 state solution. They want the eradication of all Jews in Israel. And while you can say the UN or Balfour or the international community had no right to give Palestine to the Jews for their own, that horse has already left the barn. In your last episode you said this isn't a complex issue, but it is, politically. The thing that is not complex is that most Israeli and Palestinian citizens want to live in peace, even as citizens of the same land. But both are led by vicious groups who do not want to see what is best for their shared humanity. Leaders of BOTH sides only want to settle scores and win a zero sum game.

2023-10-21 14:58:17 +0000 UTCIt’s an odd reaction I had when Katie G. was asking if we thought all Americans were bad just because of who we elected. My first impulse was, yes, yes Americans are bad, look at who we elect. We have all the power and money and we elect war mongers and monsters. Yes, we are the worst. I know that’s not true, but Jesus it’s easy to fall into that thinking.

2023-10-21 13:09:45 +0000 UTCOf all the fucked up things Biden has said in the past few days, the one that shocked me the most was his claim that the US offers "unconditional" support to Israel. Like, what the actual fuck, Joe? You're the president of the USA, and the only nation to which you owe unconditional support is the one that elected you and pays your fucking salary. All international diplomacy is conditional, pretty much by definition. For him to say otherwise is frighteningly naive.
