Adnan Syed's Release, Protests In Iran, and EVEN MORE Elon Musk Mishaps - AD FREE

Hi. Author, attorney, and podcaster Rabia Chaudry (@RabiaSquared) joins Katy and Cody to talk about the release of Adnan Syed, her experience of being his public advocate, and why wrongful convictions are so commonplace. They also talk about Elon Musk buying Twitter (maybe/finally/if-he-can-secure-financing) and the ongoing protest movement in Iran. The news about President Biden pardoning thousands who were convicted for “simple possession” of marijuana broke while we were recording, so the group touches on that for a few minutes as well.

Omg! I would love an episode about food in America. It’s crazy how American society almost guarantees you’ll be overweight and sick. This past summer I went to Malta for 2 weeks and despite eating really rich foods like carbonara, pizza, gelato, etc, and drinking at least a bottle of wine a day if not two, I lost 8 pounds. I certainly was walking more than do here at home but even still, ive never been able to lose weight like that while here in America. I’m convinced that the realness of their food is part of the reason I was able to lose weight despite it being “bad” for you

I'm convinced, based on zero evidence, that Musk and Zuckerberg are each trying to create the world they read about in Ready Player One. One app that gets used for everything. The framework everything else is based on. That's what they want X and meta to become.
