Here you can see a stagger reaction level. In total we have 7 pain/reaction levels.
low - the hit was landed, but reaction barely noticeable.
medium - definitely landed, noticeable reaction swing.
high - solid reaction swing and step back.
stagger - step back, moaning, clutching herself.
pain shock - barely standing, moaning and clutching herself. Duration could be different, Health Point decreasing continuously while in pain shock.
knockdown - falling on a ground clutching herself. It's possible to deliver a second hit to the grounded character.
knockout - falling unconscious

Definitely take the mortal kombat x-ray camera angles into consideration for this. Stylised camera angles make everything look cooler!

2018-03-16 20:26:08 +0000 UTCNot sure about pulling the character (it's kinda complex animation) but actually it should be a various actions for the grounded person. Like sitting on a face or stomping the groin. Special fatality moves is very good idea. Like it a lot. Maybe it will not be in a first version, but I definitely want to make something like this!

2018-03-16 16:40:21 +0000 UTCJust wondering.. Is it possible to pull the grounded character up standing (like via hair) and deliver another low blow on the knockdown or knockout reaction level? Besides, will there be "Finish move" (something similar to "fatality" in MK series) in the game? That is, when opponent's health point is low or empty, you can activate a "special move", like a devastating low blow, to end the fight with extrordinary long reaction from the victim (maybe special expression on his/her face) and eventually bring him/her unconscious. It would be pretty cool if you can do that!
