I think we want to see ourselves as pioneers/iconoclasts, and way too often that means we decide to be REALLY MAD about stuff like "vaccines," "basic preventive measures against a pandemic," and "common fucking human decency." I think most Americans don't subscribe to this point of view at all; the problem is that it only takes a handful of idiots to absolutely wreck public health measures.

What part of making America great again does this fall under? I can only imagine that if/when a vaccine is created that it won't be given out for free either.

I dont know if we've lost hope things will be ok, but many of us have lost hope that our current leaders will do the right thing. It seems like everyone's waiting for the election in November.

Just trying to work out why your system hasn't worked? Did you actually stop people moving around the country? Have you lost the hope that anything can be done now and it's just Covid for All (rather than medi-care or whatever)? To pep yourselves up - just say you are doing the Swedish method, so it seems like it's all been done on purpose.
