2023-12-26 23:38:12 +0000 UTCOne of my favorites. I am not saying it is objectively the best even of season one. But it is one of my two favorites of season 1. I like the character development of Sokka. The image of him standing on the dock watching his family sail away is brutal. Besides the obvious message about going where you are needed the most, something that comes back in season two. There is also a lesson in admitting when you are wrong. A boy is would not admit a mistake. But a man will own it and immediately try to make amends. That is a good lesson for kids.
