It is really an interesting choice, especially considering that the other series the author is famous for, Yu Yu Hakusho, has 2 tournament arcs in it.

2021-01-16 06:38:34 +0000 UTCfirst time I watched these episodes it did catch me off guard just how short the tournament was lol, I'm use to seeing long tournaments like Dragonball and MHA's were each fight lasts the entire episode. it was pretty brave of the series to use the end of the exam like that to jump straight into another arc.
