I've been considering con-langing. It's such an immense dedication of expression to a world to give it constructed languages. Oh my gosh. I like world-building, but creating entire languages!?

2025-01-08 01:11:30 +0000 UTCNeither am I, but even retaining current pronunciation, some changes are relatively easy. * 'Q' has no unique pronunciation, 'Qu' can be reverted to 'Kw', as it was in Old English ('Iraq' would become 'Irak'). * 'C' is pretty much always pronounced either 'K' or 'S', so it can be swapped out for something sounds like 'Ch', which is practically the only time it's pronunciation IS unique (in Old English this letter was called 'thorn'). * Add unique vowels to replace 'Ee' and 'Oo'. Mind you, that's probably just me being a nerd.
