2020-05-29 02:21:48 +0000 UTCGood show, I fell off watching somewhere in season 3, the one thing about the show was it made me want them to do a show based off the Vertigo comic Fables. Very similar concept as in fairy tale and fable characters living in the real world but much darker. Unfortunately even though Fables as a comic predates Once Upon a Time, because Once Upon a Time as a show pretty good and achieved a pretty good amount of success a Fables TV show would be seen as copying it. (Kinda the same reason they had to wait so long to bring Battle Royale out on DVD in America after the Hunger Games came out even though Battle Royale came out in 2000.) But that doesn't mean it'll never come out, and the comics are good and TellTale even made a game based on them if you wanna check it out, The Wolf Among US, actually was the game that kinda put TellTale on the map. It's funny though because both Once Upon a Time and Fables are so different they could have coexisted pretty well. Because the way Once Upon a Time plays out, it doesn't seem like it copied Fables really, it just seems like one of those organic similarities of this would be a cool idea of fairytale characters in real life, or maybe they were both inspired by Roger Rabbit, who knows lol.
