2025-12-12 10:35:13 +0000 UTCI wonder if Percy can learn various detection or inspection runes that could identify lumps in his brews and then adjust the temperature and stirring and pressure accordingly. Renoir is currently going to need many thousands of new alchemists, but if Percy can automate the brewing process through runes, then anyone could put the ingredients in, start the cauldron, and collect the elixirs after. Maybe the yield would be a few percent lower than the ones he supervises personally but it could be high enough to make it worth while overall.

Gifting may be banned but I bet there is some trade system implemented to foster an economy of some kind. Maybe willingly submitting yourself to research projects allows you to earn credits. If resources cost credits would it not be correct to say that if a resident can be a resource for another there is a credit value assigned to their body and life?

2025-12-12 09:35:24 +0000 UTCThat's only if you use each rune maximum of once but you can use each rune more than once to make an enchantment. Also he knows more than just 1 primary rune. So its more x the number of primary runes he knows times y^4 where y is the number of secondary he runes he knows but it gets bigger if he can combine primary runes together too. Thus he is definitely at an effective unlimited especially when we know he has sharpness durability repair pressure temp concealment and stirring as primaries from the basis of his equipment alone

Also, how do people ever survive in this place?? 13000 credits while "cheating" like crazy is like 35 years of meat, that's not even enough to get one past their second promotion. Unless you're a frakking genius you're doomed as an Orange-born... which actually might be as intended. I don't remember how the Green rewards scale.

Just the order in which the runes are stacked ontop of each other or can they also sit next to each other like text. With only 5 runes only stacking there are !5 combination so 120. Though i guess if you know more than 5 runes you can swap them out. Just someone who does only know 5 unique runes might have to draw some enchantments that contain a rune multiple times. To get enough combinations.
