Once the game has a bit more content it will be released as early access on Steam, so that fans that prefer to pay once can also keep enjoying the game. Of course anyone with a lifetime patron pledge over the asking price will be eligible for a free steam key.
In the meantime, you would really be helping me out a great deal if you could wishlist the game on steam, even if you have no intention of purchasing it on steam, as this helps the game get into the spotlight a bit more.
