I think I see why people are complaining about this show now. Its not because they changed the story, its HOW they changed the story. They don't like the fact that America is....well...being itself. Hypocritical and two faced. Same people who downvoted Concord for being a terrible game when it was just about as good as every one of the other 7.2 million shooter games out there.

2025-04-19 15:39:34 +0000 UTCI guess I understand wanting to just see the story of the games adapted into animated form but for me (a die hard DMC fan that has played every game the day they can out, yes even DMC 1) I dont need to see the same story again. The games are already a visual medium, so it isn't like I havent seen the events play out with all the action and what not. I like that I can watch this show and my fiance and neither of us knows whats going to happen. Throw some elements from the games in the show but create your own show. If this was a 1-1 rip adaptation of the games; most fans would drop after 2 episodes because they would get bored with seeing the same story they already played. Either way you cant really win. Fans still complain about The Last of US show and its damn near 1-1. I dont mind if you dont follow the game story so long as the story in the show is entertaining, which i think it was.
