Nerd moment; the Western dislike of Chinese dubs compared to Japanese and Korean is very well studied and has to do with the age we're introduced to certain linguistic sounds. Basically they have way more letters with very subtle differences and therefore their brains are accustomed to breaking language down differently but Westerners can't hear all the syllables and it can make it harder even with subtitles.

Ex: If Moon's gun can only teleport her to Nice's side, what happens if they're ALREADY next to each other? Does it not work, go back to being able to teleport anywhere, teleport to a fan, to a villain, or what? At least TRY, damn!

That's why it makes you feel something cause think about how powerful that song felt like during the fight scenes. You really need to check out the official music vid cause it hits so much better than the OP and makes the song that much better!๐ I have trouble listening to another language for anime even when it is Chinese like Link Click or English like Great Pretender. It for some reason just does not work so I feel what you said. I think it is also that I have an affinity with the seiyลซ so I get more hype to hear voices of Hanae-san as Lin Ling/Nice and Miyano-san as Hero X, who i can't wait to see, than names of Chinese VAs that I don't recognize as easily.๐ค As to the comment about Moon pretending to be dead, it links to the fact that the OG Nice had OCD about things being clean and white so by looking nasty in the bed Nice would sleep somewhere else just showing that she did not like him at all. This is even sadder when after Moon leaves we realize that Lin Ling really liked her as her.๐ฅบ Oh and Adorkable talking about having a lame clown power and I thought of Aqua-sama immediately. Party tricks anyone? Lee having a power connected to his love of feet is crazy man! ๐

2025-04-14 04:57:50 +0000 UTCTruly insane how they just went โwell, anywayโ regarding him finding her /dead/ in his bed. Like, so, what even /was/ that? . . . . . . . . A hallucination? Sleep deprivation? A super-weird sleep mask? Had got the vibe that it was maybe a fake-out, yet it didnโt even get referenced! But enough about that. . A month and a half just /hanging out/ and no real contact with the outside world, ending with a proposal, almost immediate โmarriage,โ a (scripted) fight, and a death. A surprisingly eventful timeline for this new Nice. . Wonder whether Wreck took this chance to retire, or if he just took the fall (and injury/death). He was termed as a โhero,โ but mainly /fought/ another, higher-ranking hero? Purportedly, he and Nice were /probably/ closer to lovers than best friends, but image is king, and the closest they could be was them fighting every now and then, once the people matched Nice with Moon instead. . Little worried about how far โbecoming Niceโ will go. It went as far as worsening OCD while they were in lockdown, is there any chance it would fully overwrite Lin Ling and /revive/ Nice himself past a certain point? Or, would that require people knowing about his issues and manifesting it? . By the way, a number of short Promotional Vids for the series go back a couple of years, afaik they donโt (shouldnโt?) spoil anything, but do provide some backstory elements (like, Niceโs features him and Wreck having a public scrap with indicators that they personally know each other, that sort of thing).
