I understand she’s your mom but if I’m gonna be your wife and possibly raise a family together, we need to become your #1 now. Because if he’s not standing up now, that marriage life is gonna be miserable. She almost married into a “marry my husband” 1st marriage except he actually loves her but he might as well hate her too if he’s asking to her compromise and put up with his mom’s attitude/treatment.
