Good point with people forgetting the Journey cuz they seen the end result. I see people do this with so many shows with morally gray characters or characters that grow over time like Re0, Mushoku,etc. People either remember the first version of a character and hate them or remember the last version and forget all the mistakes.

2025-03-15 03:57:27 +0000 UTCSo PowerPlex's discs are actually kind've based on a real device that was commonish in the early 00's called a bio charger or kirlian charger and it was a small stamp you could put on your phone to very slowly charge your i-pod or early gen I-phone with your own bio-electromagnetic / Kirlian field from your nerves. I had them on my I-pod touch and they bailed me out a few times by letting me get just enough battery to look up a cab number before smartphones were common.

And in the show it's not actually shown who came up with the hostage idea but in the comics it is 100% Powerplex's idea, the wife just goes along with it. I mean it doesn't actually make much difference since either way it sucks.

2025-03-03 10:52:26 +0000 UTCI mean probably because it makes no sense. What exactly are you investigating. Mark was defending lives. His father almost beat him to death. Did powerplex just think that was all a act and Mark was trying to trick the people. What does he gain from that. He has no reason to try to trick the citizens. If Mark and his dad wanted to take over the planet at that moment they could have easily done it. Powerplex was mad at Mark because he fought his father and people died because of it but not once did he bring up a single point of how any of what happened in Chicago was Mark's fault. He simply wants to assign blame to somebody and since Omni man isn't here to take that blame it falls over to Invincible because he failed to save those people lives. I bet powerplex wouldn't even have been this way if his sister and niece survived. He doesn't care about those other 3000 lives. All he wants is somebody to take the blame for the death of his family. Instead of looking at what the real problem is.

2025-03-03 05:55:48 +0000 UTC8:00 It's kinda sad they made Powerplex kind of a joke or they didn't take him seriously until the end. While he was wrong, he did bring up a couple good points here in the parking lot. There are at least 3,000 people who maybe agree with him based off his petition. From his perspective, he had a point when he said how do he and people know, "really know" that Invincible was defending the Earth from an alien threat when the alien threat was his dad. Even though Mark is innocent, there should've at least been an investigation to give some answers to people like Powerplex.
