We will be more clear seperating ourselves from each others take after seeing how many people think we have the same sentiments just because we like Madam.
Your gonna see in Hometown Cha Cha ep 2...its hard for the Men on the channel to crique a character without it being seen as a Greenlight to cross the line.
It actually gets uncomfortable to do so cuz folks double down or feel alone...so i dunno. I actually can't explain how other think...
but me personally...i might in jest have something to say...but i'm not a hateful person and i dont hold gurdes, and i like to joke around...
I'm not really gonna hate a character....i already like Scummy characters so you should know my standards for liking a character ain't even that high lol..
I stopped being vocal about any of the ML or FL since Queen of Tears personally...lol
Director still does it, but if you listen to his words and dont group him with anyone else...you'll find that its funny and he doesn't really have strong feelings...
well on to the next show...

Gonna give it some time before i answer who my favorite Character (NOT ACRESS) is between Mr Queen and Madam lol....but those are my favorite ladies lol

2025-02-02 22:43:57 +0000 UTCAs far as I see it, Madam is the MC and everyone is supporting characters. She took her character all the way to the end. You can't write a badass character for a ML but then he becomes a BOY when he sees Anna and comes up with his on perceptions of how she is being treated and felt he needed to save her while seemingly to forget why he was there in the first place. He could've taken out PGS without Madam's help.

The writer wrote lousily about JSS and JB's employees. How can you write good supporting characters well when you can't even write the main characters who are more compelling than the villains ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The writer wrote that Madame treats the good characters as tools. In fact, it was the writer himself who made them tools for artificial storytelling and product advertising. They were less vital than the mirror lolol

Folks often push shows cuz their favorite actor is in it…..lol. But its not anywhere close to my own favorite acting. So they miss out on the experience they are looking for. The actor for K2 is never my favorite character in the dramas hes in. But i do like him. Hes good. Hes the best at what he does that ive seen. I have seen him play the same archetype. In worst of evil, healer, and k2. I am not into that archetype lol. I liked Bibi and the gangster in worst of evil. I LOVE Madam here. And i like The FL in Healer and The reporters evil older brother lol. I only get hype when k2 is fighting but his dialogue, or char development, or nuance isn’t really there. Haha. I feel like i already know him. And i dunno how to explain it further. So anyways I think recommending us a show because your favorite actor is in it can be disappointing because unless I change the way I react or fake it because I know how you guys are thinking you’re gonna be very very disappointed

2025-02-01 14:58:34 +0000 UTCWell, I have to say that your reactions at Madam's death were better than I expected😂 Back then, when I first watched the show, I knew she was going to die from the first episodes, it's rare to let a character like that live, if it's a dark ending, they could let the main villain live but in a normal show, hard life or not, you did shit, you die. This show it's one my faves but I have to say that your reaction doesn't go on my favorite list of reactions, the reason it's obvious, don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it and I will probably rewatch it at some point too. You all have strong opinions and it's one of the reasons for why I do like you all, it's not the first time when you were all biased to a certain character and I usually don't care but I here I felt it more than ever. Almost everything was all about Madam for you all but personally, I can't help to be rational too, for example, one of my favorite actors plays in this kdrama and ofc he is my favorite character, when K2 first entered in JSS at 16:36, he should have yelled about the bomb for all the people's safety but what he does first?! Asks about Anna because he only cared about Anna😂 I saw how Lee noticed it too, yes, the dude is a good guy but not that good. I don't have a problem with admitting it but even at the end when you were all talking, Adorkable said Madam was a good person because at least she didn't killed Anna's mom, like what... And yes, I saw how Lee watched her at 1:18:24 too😂 Seeing a murder and not doing anything it's pretty much the same thing as doing it yourself, in fact, even when it comes to abuse, the victims are saying that the people who watch the abuse happening and not doing shit are as bad as the abusers or even worse(I have a small experience in this category too and I agree, my mind remembers more the person who just watched). Not to mention all the shit that Madam did, she was never known as a good person, she was feared in her company, as you saw it too, no one cared about her at the end when the bomb went off, they employees only cared about Anna and K2. Most of all this doesn't really apply to Lee, I definitely notice how even though he is biased himself too, he still tries to be objective too, I appreciate that, Mr Plankton is another example where he did that. Just saying my thoughts at the end, it's not that deep, it's not like I will hold grudges either😂I still like Director and Adorkable, stiil on my favorite list of reactors, at least for now😂

(they knew she didn’t cuz they cld see from above who all were there in the lift when k2 asked them to shoot at the cables). Even if they didn’t know, ofc they wldnt care if she survived or not cuz she was just a ruthless employer to them who treated them like crap & had no qualms abt giving orders to kill them at the drop of a hat. She had ordered the killing of Anna’s bodyguards n they knew it. So why wld they care if she survived or not. They were obligated to serve her, not care for her. Which is why they didn’t even bother to ask abt her when Anna answered the walkie-talkie. They only asked abt K2 n celebrated And they were all concerned for K2 & were cheering his surviving cuz he had won them over with his humanity/principles/fearlessness etc after their initial resentment towards him. They had grown to admire/respect him & a sort of camaraderie n bonding had developed b/w them after he had saved them all earlier at Park’s hideout attack ops Btw what do u mean by saying “they were cheering for K2 as if he was the main star”. That was churlish n petty. Of course K2 was the main star…the show is titled after him. And 3 of them were the main characters. Resenting K2 just coz the team cared for him enough to cheer for him, esp when it was shown how he had earned their respect/admiration…not to mention resenting him earlier just because he didn’t fall in love with her despite seeing her evil dispensation was so juvenile I too liked Madam n wld have loved to see K2 n Madam dynamic taken forward with a redemption arc for her but at that same time I cld get the reasons of other characters for reacting to her the way they did Frankly, surprised at the utter lack of objectivity in your reactions. Never seen such extreme simping n worshipping at the feet of a character to the exclusion of everything else. I mean going to the extent of resenting every other character n disregarding everything else happening in the show…even resorting to illogically berating/insulting other main characters, refusing to accept even their main character status etc is a big put off n quite absurd. There has to be some balance n maturity in one’s analysis n reactions, esp when it’s being done at professional level imo. This is like one is watching a montage of a character/actor in complete isolation not caring abt anything else happening in the show lol. I am sorry but didn’t expect such superficiality, immaturity n blind simping in analysis n reactions

The only thing I wish the show would've did differently was make the complicated relationship between Madam and K2, idk, not romantic, but more intimate maybe. I wanted more from them two. I wanted them to have a close platonic relationship that Anna could've potentially been jealous of. I didn't need K2 to fall in love with Madam but I wish he would've come to understand her better and care more about her wellbeing which would've created some conflict between K2 and Anna, and potentially made her husband a little jealous.

He even said to K2 “I don’t know why she is hell-bent on saying she killed Anna’s mom.” Just as Madam previously mentioned, he continued to use her venerability as punishment for his inferiority towards her family. He knew she had issues expressing her emotions. He was also aware that she loved him and yearned for his affection. They could have been a true power couple. Instead, he manipulated her into believing that he believed she killed Anna’s mom. He also manipulated her into being Anna’s caretaker while convincing herself that Anna was leverage for keeping him. He played along and used Anna as a scapegoat for his indiscretions and lack of responsibility as a father. He was just as much to blame for the failure of their marriage as Madam was. Either way, when it was all said and done, he was there for her when she needed him the most and that's all that mattered. Madam was our diva but a horrible client to the JSS security staff. None of them liked her. This is why they did not cry for her or the congressman. They knew they were disposable to them. I think people forgot that Anna’s three bodyguards were told that they would be killed once Anna’s situation was resolved. This is why they fled with Anna. They wanted to live and attaching themselves to Anna was their best bet. K2 came along and humanized Madam. He earned their respect and most of all he protected Anna. They all fell for him lol. Everyone was confused as to why Madam and the congressman did not get on that elevator. In my opinion, she was dying. Cloud 9 was her baby and the only family she had. She did not want to leave it. They knew they would be added dead weight in that elevator, which would have hindered the others' chance of surviving the fall. I honestly think they were both exhausted and didn’t have the energy to face the backlash and keep fighting. They knew Anna had K2 and Dong Mi so they were at peace with their decision. Side note…Is it just me or does Mi Ran (Anna’s young bodyguard) remind you of a younger version of Se Ra (The extra dramatic admin assistant from What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim)?

2025-02-01 03:21:21 +0000 UTCHave to say, when I watched this back then, Madam was my favorite character and Anna was my least favorite(literally the WEAKEST female lead in any K-Drama I'd watched). Every time K2 and madam were in a scene, the spark was off the chart whereas in almost every scene with K2 and Anna, I had to try not to get distracted and do something else like checking my email. And now, after rewatching it in almost a decade, the feeling sustains. I don't know if the acting prowess of Song Yoon-Ah( Madam) was just too great and Im Yoon-Ah(Anna) was simply lacking (here at the time), or if it was the writing, or maybe both. I thought my impression would be a little different after all these years, but no. For watever it's worth, it is still an entertaining show to watch even after 9 years.
