I think people tend to forget what kind of person Jeha is because of what he is capable of. As we can see back with Raniya, he is just a boy standing in front of a girl, asking her to marry him. He's kind, he's simple. There's no way he would've even thought to be with someone like madam, maybe he did admire her for some independent women qualities in her, but love? I don't think so. I do agree her relationship and Anna indeed are not written amazingly, but again, he is just a simple man wanted a simple life, but unfortunately life throws him a curveball. Also you should check their behind the scenes after you finished watching this. They're a bunch of adorable actors and also super comfortable with each other it is so refreshing to watch after the all the stress lol. Fun fact Madam aka Song YoonAh once joined Girls Generation's aka Yoona (Anna) stage at Korean Film Award so they go way back Both actress are famous in Korea for their good looks and similar name like sisters!

We're choosing what would be interesting for us to watch as viewers and that's toxic Madam/K2 interactions, or potentially a beautiful redemptive love story. I don't think I would be friends with Madam, or her devoted Chief Kim if I had the chance either. She's just compelling, tragic. sympathetic etc.

To completely disregard how evil, lacking of empathy and selfish she is and still wanting Jeha to be together with her of all ppl??? It's so toxic. Jeha deserves the peace, comfort and pureness of love after his hardships and not someone's crooked version of it. They did a terrible job with Anna's character, no doubt but ppl can't be surprised pikachu face that K2 chooses her over Madam when his basic, core values (that were apparent since day 1) literally don't line up with someone who is still perfectly okay with murdering innocent people and playing mind games. Ppl should put themselves in his shoes, seriously. Would you seriously want someone as your partner who is so obviously toxic to everyone she deems a threat? No, you don't. Anna and Jeha are great for each other and they fit, shitty writing aside. Madam and K2 had the possibility but she is stubborn and unchanging, so their relationship has no future.

If she loved him in an unselfish way she would have helped him to go with Anna and be just happy with Anna, its definetely in her power. But she cant do that, instead she convinces Anna to leave, she does not want him to be happy per se, she wants him to be with her. Basically the same situation as with her husband... and he understood it very early on i think... thank you for a fun reaction as always!:)

So don’t despair after watching 14 and wait for 15 lol. Infact wld be great if you cld post both 14 and 15 epi reactions together for feeble hearted imo :))

2025-01-28 05:47:27 +0000 UTCIf Madam had changed a bit early and not struck a deal with her brother to kill the three care givers around Anna which K2 had heard’, her and K2’s friendship at least cld have been salvaged and based on mutual trust and admiration. That decision of hers was the fresh tipping point for him cuz he realised at that instant that she wld never change and that having innocent ppl, who were not even a threat to her any longer, killed was no big deal for her. That callous, heartless decision of hers made him lose what ever little trust he had in her and her ability to keep her word. Because before that when she told him she hadn’t killed Anna’s mum, K2 seemed to have believed her. Wish they had shown a redemption arc for her …at least developing some semblance of humanity and empathy for others. Unfortunately they did not show her character evolve and grow in any way until the last few mins of the show. Yes, she was wronged in her life but that did not give her the right to use her power to order killings of innocent people and/or trample/destroy ppl’s lives. Everyone faces tough times and betrayals in life at some point but that doesn’t mean ppl start avenging the same by going around ordering hits on innocent ppl n destroying families. Her continued callous disregard for others lives and cruelty to others was actually quite astounding. Wish they and shown her do some soul searching and course correction at least after meeting Je ha and seeing how compassionate n kind he was and how he risked his life to save even strangers. If she had been shown turning around…je ha cld have developed stronger feelings for her cuz there clearly was something that he felt for her…cld have been just some kind of attraction, which he himself was not aware of or did not want to acknowledge. But her continued contemptuous disregard for other ppl’s lives was sthing he cld never come to terms with or accept. It was because of that, that any feelings he might have had at any point for her just got buried. I mean she wanted to win over K2 and the best way to do that wld have been becoming sensitised to the needs and pains of others and becoming a better person. Dumping that trash husband of hers and stop bring greedy for power cld have been the starting point for that. From writers point of you, it was such a missed opportunity. They shld have given her a redemption arc and an end game with k2 (even if one of them had to die in the end), instead of going for the cliched puppy romance with Anna which was bland and uninspiring, not to mention Anna’s annoying crying for 80% of the time in the show

How could he not be? She went from trying to kill him to asking for friendship, she has called him her hero multiple times, she gave him access to Cloud Nine and Mirror, and when he is doing dangerous missions she tells him to prioritize his safety over her goal. Still, he also knows she isn't capable of empathizing with other's pain, she has ordered people's deaths without care (Anna's mother not... included?), she has tried to kill Anna multiple times for existing, and she is currently trying to run the country for personal gain. She sees her favor and worship as love, but he does not.
