I wish my work schedule was more forgiving

I REALLY wanted to be able to finish the commissions by this month, but my day job is really taking a lot out of me this season and stressing me the frig out, and my inability to make my own self-imposed deadlines really really REALLY sucks for my mental. I really just want to get all this stuff done with so I can finally breathe and then we can have more new material and personal projects to get onto and we can finally return to doing fun stuff on Patreon again (I'm extremely disappointed in myself for my inability to follow up on rewards AGAGHAGGHAHGHAHH) and like......... I don't really know what to do. I really wish I had better news to give yall but I'm so frustrated in myself I almost feel like crying, I'm so impatient to just get my life back on track so I don't disappoint more people

That sucks and I wish things were going better for you. Also as a patron with an unfinished com I wanted to say that personally I'd be fine with you taking however long you need to work on it, or even just explicitly putting working on it on hiatus for a while/a few months so you have more time to look after yourself.

personally, I don't have anything I'm waiting on, so others may feel differently, but i personally wouls want you to get to a more stable position before you overstress yourself with art. I love your work, but if its too much to keep working on it and keep a stable job rn, focus on making sure you can afford to live. <3

I know I have mine done, so this is a bit of a moot point, but I would have been more than happy to wait as long as you needed to get that finished. I’m really sorry your job sucks, and I really wish you had more support like you deserve for your amazing art!

Such is the life of the working artist nowadays. We understand if things are slow - important thing is that you're still around to create :) Keeping care of yourself first and foremost is the only way to get anything done.
