Matrixoids: info
Added 2017-12-09 16:36:49 +0000 UTCMatrixoids are an artificial bodies made out of frame threads and matrix spheres (up to four in one 'body'). Within one (central) matrix sphere is mind of an intelligent race, which was trapped by an accident (improper use of matrix, or its overuse). Frame threads are unique material, which can transform itself into any form by thought/command, which is mentally transferred from the carrier through the matrix and then to the frame threads.
Above you can see matrixoid of a human female, and at the bottom you can see scheme of how it works in more general way.

Why clones? Ancients' home planet was destroyed by their enemies - Ragas. At the same time their fleet also was half destroyed, including almost all 'greenhouse' spaceships, on which where kept igriyeras and their natural feed - frame plants (after purification process - frame threads, of which were created all of Ancients' spaceships, stations, armor, weapons etc.); so the reason why there was a lot of clones was in lack of animals and resources to produce 'clean' material, which could supply frames and matrix spheres for every spaceship that was left after the war.
