What should I be working on next?

I already have a very cool feature planned but I thought it would be a good idea to get the overall sentiment on what everyone wants.

i think it would be nice if when you open a chest it will interact with any physics objects on it.

I'd love mod compatibility with Optifine. I use the Fresh Animations resource pack all the time, and to see that working with the ragdoll physics would be amazing. I did find Fabric forks of the Fresh Animations pack, but some of the mobs' models are quite buggy.

would it be possible to get the ocean working in VR? I have the same issue that Beardo Banjo has. Im using fabric versions of everything

i think real movement when climbing, walking, swinning would be cool, some natural disaster like tsunami and stuf like that and also add a function that if u put a infinity source of water it will fill everything.

It would rule if Valkyrien Skies ships would work with the ocean physics currently they don't interact but I could imagine a SoT aesthetic if it did.

You can do it yourself, dynamic blocks > customize and then go to trapdoors and disable collision.

I think that would be insanely hard to implement, as the hitbox has to remain the same for the crawlers, and dismembered zombies would not be saved anywhere. Immersive portals comparability would be awesome though.

Dismemberment. I think this feature would add a lot of value. Basically, when you hit mobs (but they aren’t dead yet), their limbs could come off and be dismembered, preferably with blood effects. Similar to your joint breaking mod, except arms/legs could be ripped off while the mob is alive. I don’t know if it’s possible, but making a zombie crawler by dismembering its legs while it’s alive would also be insanely good. You already made the first physics mod, as of right now there is no dismemberment mod so you’d dominate the market for both. Furthermore, those that download your mod are looking for more realism, so I think creating compatibility with Immersive Portals should be something to look into as well.

Could fill commands not cause block particles? Usually when you do a /fill air. It doesn't cause block break particles to save on frames. Doing this with the physics mod causes thousands of interactive block particles which breaks the game

Even after the ocean optimization pass, the feature is still pretty hitchy when crossing chunk borders.

Can you make it so trap doors don’t freak out when they are on fences? Also an option to make it so that trapdoors don’t sag.

For me its the custom models from Optifine. Patrix uses a lot of custom mob models and on top of that i dont want to miss the "Human Villager RP" that makes the Villager actually look good

to be honest, while I do love new features, I prefer compatibility, especially with optifine, as I have no choice but to use it for now

Would love to see mob animations (like the ressource pack but inside of this mod), realistic tree chopping and realistic water splash effects, waterfall effects and so on.

The ocean physics are the reason why i bought the pro version. Sadly they are not compatible with Optifine. As long as this is the case, the pro version is not interesting for me

As cool as new features would be, I think compatibility is needed now. For example the new ocean water doesn't work with Farsight, and the player models start spazzing while doing emotes on the essential mod.

I love the mod by itself and have a capable mashine so a new feature would be great! (BTW I noticed gates don't have an animation but doors and trapdoors do. just bringing that to attention! 😁)

I'd love for splashes in the water, like the mod "effective"but yknow, pretty with shaders! Water particles flying out when you jump in it like the boats do would be sick!

I have a somewhat capable machine so I personally don’t care for performance optimizations at the moment (maybe besides some lag when traveling fast with water sim) but I think a new feature would be more exciting to more people as well as you making it
