Minecraft 1.21.9 is here with "The Copper Age" update. Mojang has again been reworking a lot of internal stuff and I feel like Vibrant Visuals isn't that far away anymore. This update contains a lighting update for the liquids so it is properly shaded in caves as well. The best results I've got are with the Solas Shaderpack 2.7b (some shaderpacks don't support the cave lighting very well). V179 also contains the EMF 3.0 crash fix and a significant physics rendering rewrite so you might encounter some issues with it (feel free to report all the bugs on my github page). Liquids V2 is here! I improved the performance and shading of them significantly supporting even more shaderpacks and a higher particle count. It is still in a testing phase (by destroying enchanting tables you can spawn a liquid source) but my plan is to replace flowing water of Minecraft with this version at one point in the future. The update for Minecraft 1.21.6 is ready! I've changed the look of smoke a bit which makes it more yellow/red near fires. The best results I've gotten are with the Kappa shaderpack (requires going into shaderpack settings -> post processing -> TAAU Ratio 100% (off) and changing physics settings -> smoke -> shadows to Kappa). This update is for all those VR enjoyers! When using Vivecraft you can now interact with the physics objects by using the left/right triggers. Pale Garden with the new Creaking mob of the upcoming Winter Drop is here! Yesterday Minecraft 1.21.1 was announced to fix some critical bugs. As of my current tests the 1.21 physics mod version should work fine. I've also included some fixes related to snow third person view crashes and others. The NeoForge version now supports the Sodium 0.6 + Iris 1.8 alpha releases. Distant Horizons + Iris is a giant leap in render distance and immersion in Minecraft so here is the build that works with it. I have also ported the Physics Mod to the latest snapshot 1.20.5-pre1. It will most likely also work with 1.20.5 once it is released since the changes are usually only minor and don't break the mod. It's time for another Snapshot! With this version I've upgraded the PhysX library to version 5.3.1 which should fix some bugs/crashes with the GPU liquid physics. Keep in mind when activating GPU liquid physics that it could cause some weird crashes so make sure whenever you don't use it to disable it. Have fun!

As it turns out while porting everything to the latest snapshot I noticed a typo for the snow/ocean vanilla lighting. It should look significantly better now. The first screenshot is how it looks now and the second one shows the old wrong lighting. I've also fixed some very old bugs like falling sand/gravel causing block physics. Late Happy New Year everyone! Here are some bug fixes. I am currently waiting on the Fabric API being finished for the latest snapshot, so expect the new release within the next week (in case nothing goes horribly wrong with my eye surgery :D).

I have been asked for Valkyrien Skies 2 support since the release of ocean physics and it is finally here! Beware that this support is still in beta and there are many bugs (cloths being messy, building in ocean waves in boat is tricky and a lot of other stuff) BUT I think it is still a great experience to build your own ships and travel the oceans. Hi everybody! Here is another update fixing the GUI physics activating when pressing media keys (or other special keys), oceans disappearing with a depth of 1 and being larger than 1024 blocks and wrong ocean surface shading when being underwater (especially the reflections).

Fixed a crash related to destroying ender portal blocks (the actual portal not the frames) and the ocean surface duplicating with water logged blocks. I've also tried some performance optimizations when using sodium (by utilizing their chunk occlusion culling) but as it turned out this increased the load for my specific case so I scrapped it again.

Upgraded to PhysX 5.2.1 which comes with a lot of fixes (full changelog). I've also added german translations and fixed a bug that caused snow/rain/dust to not appear when using the physics mod with forge and joining a server.

Fixed a crash in the 1.20.1 version that was caused by dynamic blocks like trapdoors when entering/exiting/loading the nether or overworld + ragdolls now work with Sodium 0.5.0 + Iris 1.6.5! Also mods that use indium should no longer render duplicate dynamic blocks!

It is time for an update on a weekend! I've added item break physics. Whenever an item suddenly goes to 0 durability it doesn't just vanish but leaves its fragments on the ground. The setting for it can be found in "General > Item Break Physics". Have fun! :D

1.20 for Forge is finally finished. The changes from 1.19.4 to 1.20 were quite significant (details in the image above). Forge was tested with Oculus 1.6.4 and Rubidium 0.6.5. The GPU liquids are currently only in the fabric version since it doesn't integrate into any gameplay yet.

Tomorrow is the official release date for Minecraft 1.20! V155 is currently tested with 1.20-rc1 but should work with the 1.20 release tomorrow as well. As always the Forge version will follow once Forge + Physics Mod is ported to it. I am not sure when the Forge team will finish their port to 1.20 but usually this happens within a few days of the release. The 1.20 Fabric version was tested with Iris 1.6.4 and Sodium 0.4.10.
