1.19 Release Update Part 2
Added 2020-03-10 17:10:15 +0000 UTCHi all-
I'm back from my trip and have already dug in and addressed many of the bugs and suggested tweaks the internal team found in testing of the 1.19 alpha last week. That part is nearly done. What I have left is to get in some more of the sample package items that were sent to me to be included in the release to give you even more content to play with and try out the new package system.
When I created the original plan for the 1.19 and 1.20 releases, I planned to split the packaging system between these two releases due to the amount of work, but it turns out I have completed nearly everything intended for both releases and put it into 1.19 already. The only major remaining item is support for using and storing custom morphs in packages. Because of this, I'm going to take the next couple of days to see if I can get that in as well. I feel many of the great looks out there use custom morphs and I don't want that to have to wait until 1.20 to be supported. If I am not able to complete in the next 2 days due to the complexity of this specific item, I will not delay the release any further and custom morphs in package feature will not arrive until 1.20.
I anticipate the release will now be around Friday the 13th.
Thank you again for all your support!

2020-03-13 06:44:34 +0000 UTCWelcome back, I hope you feel fine after the trip. I think you're right about the release, do not delay it further.

2020-03-12 22:15:21 +0000 UTCAs much as I can wait a few more days for the 1.19, as much as I can't wait for the V2 :)

2020-03-12 20:26:56 +0000 UTCI disagree. First of all, his original plan was to release it in two parts, and im not going to second guess the godfather of VR porn. And 2nd, its not like he would be releasing some rushed incomplete feature. As he said, it is complete, so he would be releasing the full working packaging system. The second part would simply be add a new feature. And 3rd, i really can't imagine what confusion could possibly be created by this, even just his update was quite self-explanatory.

2020-03-12 10:37:08 +0000 UTCI agree with this. Whilst I'm excited for the new release it seems better if all the upgrades were completed in one go first.
2020-03-11 05:54:47 +0000 UTCFWIW, I think you wait until you can roll out the entire packaging system at once. People aren't gonna freak if you don't hit the 13th, but rolling it out in two parts could create some confusion about what is and is not supported in the update.

2020-03-10 21:05:07 +0000 UTCThank you Meshed! for me it's an great improvement to be able to load scenes and play with plugins without have to check with memory tasker if vam is about to crash due to memory over flow

2020-03-10 20:04:32 +0000 UTCYes - memory usage in 1.19 is vastly improved.

2020-03-10 19:29:50 +0000 UTChi, is the 1.19 will have something like a memory garbage collector that unload from memory everything from previous scene that is not in the next loaded scene?
MpMan
2020-03-10 18:40:15 +0000 UTCNot automatically. You must do it manually, and most content should be reorganized. Existing vacs will still work, and you can still created vacs using the create legacy package button

2020-03-10 17:41:32 +0000 UTCAll existing content and scenes should still work.

2020-03-10 17:33:19 +0000 UTChi, did the 1.19 will be retro compatible with existing installation or it is better to have a fresh install with 1.19 (is the package system is able to cope with easyymate install without breaking anythin?)
