oh my god did I just get screwed! Working for an hour and a half on finishing a masterful facial were the girl is cleaning up the job and "POP" VAM error and close!!!!! Now I will tell ya that never ever happens to me, like never! Like what is it now.. 2 years of using VAM? Oh my.. :( Yeah I know save.. but I like to finish the part up i'm working on before saving as to not throw everything off. :( guess I gota figure out how to safely save and not trash everything.

I got this up and running but my controllers/hands don't show up in vr. Are Index knuckles not supported?

I did install as admin but not in a system directory.

I was having a similar problem trying to install the updater. I was finally told that you can’t install it as an administrator and can’t install it from the download Directory. When you install as an administrator, it tries to write in the programs directory which is protected. The VAM program is designed to not write in that directory because they want to keep it private and not let anybody else know that you have it on your PC. So to install it, you have to create a folder under the root C Drive and then move the compressed file to that folder. Then you extract to that same VAM folder. That’s why if you ever need to get rid of it, youwouldn’t go into settings- applications to try to use the Windows UnInstaller because it won’t show up there. You would just delete the VAM folder and everything is entirely cleaned off your drive.

Found a VERY convoluted way to make it work (Kind off) by pure chance :- Found an old 1.11 full version Torrent and installed that. Tried the updater from that it flashed up a window briefly with an error and closed. Then tried the new updater again and it worked but I got a file download error near the end and now it won;t connect to the server. EDIT FINALLY (and painfully) managed it but had to run the updater about 20 times.

Eventually found a link to Vam_Updater.zip hidden away in one of the posts, I've extracted it and run it but nothing happens (I've tried run as administrator) no windows pop up, nothing.

Where is the ~Download section. I cant see it, Im a backer and cant download the non updater..

For me, this version seems to resets some morph values to 0 during gameplay. The morph slider goes to 0 by itself. For example, eyes depth morph just did it while i was looking the person. This is not fun, when saving the look without noticing it has some morphs resetted. I don't think that any of the plugins i'm using does animate the eyes depth morph. I have not noticed this kind of behaviour before. EDIT: The cause seems to be some other custom morph.

its the thumbstick navigation i think. i have the same problem. mine is spinning as well as going up

Problem. Can you include an option under navigation to disable the thumbstick navigation. I use a HP reverb and it creates a problem. basically the scene is slowly sinking and rotating continuously. I realised that is the thumbstick fault on hp controllers. (didnt have the problem on 1.17)

Quick question: Importing custom scalps doesn't work yet, right? I can select it from the scalp list, but nothing happens... Edit: I just noticed the note saying "Coming in 1.18.2", okay.

I got a problem with the in-game web-browser, it loads most things fine, but it won't play videos on youporn, pornhub, redtube, or any other site. It just sits there "loading" indefinitely.

are you running VaM.exe or VaM (OpenVR).bat ? The second one is for SteamVR. I have rift + touch and it works fine. Only thing I did differently was I installed 1.17 first. Are you clicking ready with the triggers or by pushing the A/X buttons? that threw me off at first.

Thanks, got it to install. When I open it, it shows my oculus touch controllers and lets me put in the key. But after it loads and says ready, it doesn't accept any more input from the controllers. So when I click on "Ready' nothing happen. Any suggestions? thx

For a first time installation, put the updater in an empty directory and run it.

Same thing here happened in VR. I thought it was the camera tracking on my WMR machine. It has a camera that keeps track of headset and controller positions

Try turning off hard colliders under breast physics.

if you just joined like me and downloading for the first time, you need to download the updated vam_updater or you won't be able to update past 1.17

There are several options. Direct Mirror To Desktop with headset view is in User Preferences VR 1 tab near the top. You can also hit M key on keyboard and get an independent desktop camera and view. Lastly you can use the WindowCamera atom and enable the camera by clicking Camera On toggle. This view is controlled by where the WindowCamera atom is positioned and rotated.

If you are using WMR, users have reported you must start SteamVR before launching VaM or the controllers and pointers will not show up. If you are not using WMR, I suggest a restart of your computer. VaM should work with latest official or beta versions of SteamVR

VaM Updater: There is a little checkbox in the bottom right corner labeled beta opt in. If you check this, you can download this version.

Go into your vam folder, start up vam_updater.exe, check beta op in, press update, profit
