Brothers and Sisters and Siblings,
This week's update is a day late, and will be short and sweet. It's been a busy weekend, with both updates 0.2.9.3 and 0.3.0.1 dropping in the last two days. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about them when you get a chance to play. 0.3.0.1 is my favorite thing I've done with the game so far, and it's making me more motivated than ever to see the story realized.
Honestly, it's been a stressful week, both at my real job, and doing this project. It was the first time during the whole process where I felt like it was starting to get to me a bit, and so I've made the decision to take it easier this week. So far, it seems the new update is a relatively bug-free experience, so luckily, there doesn't seem to be as much damage control to be done as I thought. With that in mind, here's the rundown.
What I did this week:
Honestly, it's a blur. I had about 5 different last-minute course corrections and eleventh hour ideas that I wanted to implement in this update. Most of them made it; the ones that didn't are scheduled for 2 weeks from now.
Made the art sneak peek post for Cantors.
Released 0.2.9.3 and 0.3.0.1.
What I'm going to do this week:
Sleep more.
Drink mint tea.
Maybe play Silent Hill F if I'm not too much of a baby.
Tidy up my apartment, because it looks like a solo game dev lives here.
Fix bugs as necessary.
Implement the CG gallery for this part of Chapter 3.
Start work on the missing scenes so they can be ready in time for the Scribe update on October 12th.
That's all from me. Have a great week ahead, and please let Father Sid know if you spot any mice. The Master Cellarer says one of them's been getting into the food supplies.
