Sept Update + Zine of the Month! Feature length model film?!?

Happy Fall patrons! Rewards for Aug will be sent out shortly, and the Sept Zine of the Month for $50+ patrons will be film work with Alice from a few weeks back, and we have our second shoot set in Sacramento (where she lives) in October. Some of it will be for my Guillermo del Toro animated autobiography which I decided would do with some live footage, like Alice and Ariah are perfect for the characters of Crimson Peak...

...which brings me to another film project, which Patreon is gonna be at the center of.

I've got a bunch of video footage shot with the Camp Snap 8 digital 8mm camera I'm editing today, stuff with Maya, Sawyer, Amber and Ariah. It had occurred to me that there's a larger art film to be made from these shoots with this camera, something that would be a lo-fi art model version of Samsara or Color of Pomegranates- visual poetry, maybe mixed with talking footage since they all are hyper creative artists in their own practice. Alice is a metal singer and wordsmith, Maya is a video artist/ filmmaker/ dancer, Sawyer creates crafts and poetry, etc.

I've talked to a couple other people regarding this, and I guess first thing is to finish Sawyer and Maya segments this week so people can at least see what 5 minute chunks of this supposed film would look like. I recall Suicide Girls having some similar movie idea, and there was another photographer who made a feature length film w art models (Chase someothing, I cannot find it when I google it) but I think what I do with my collaborators and what Suicide Girls do are vastly different takes on similar surface materials.

We can refer to it as "Primordial Creative: The Movie" until something better comes along!

The crowdfunding here (and Ebay) really keeps this machine afloat and I think the main budget bits would be better locales to explore longer with the models and that includes day rates for them. The cool thing though is that filming can be done at the same time as shoots and bts and working on the Guillermo film- many birds with one stone.
