Magda Luna - Intuition Screams

"Intuition Screams" emerges from deep isolation in October 2024, taking masterclasses with Herzog and Lynch while diving into Jon Hopkins' music and interviews - exploring that disorienting moment when reality starts shifting and you have to navigate by pure feeling instead of broken thinking.

Drawing from Lovecraftian themes about interdimensional forces bleeding into ordinary life, this isn't just a song but a field guide for when familiar objects become mysteriously uncooperative and your rational frameworks completely break down. Werner talks about doing Grizzly Man literally by picking up keys off a coffee table where they happened to land on a magazine - that's the level of intuitive navigation this explores. Lynch and Hopkins led me toward TM territory, though I can't claim to practice it properly.

I actually operate 99% on intuition now - what I do each day, how I make money, who I shoot with and what we create, what I write, who I choose to interact with. There's almost no plan anymore because I'm hyperaware of this unseen pull toward where energy actually lives, like massive neon signs screaming "THIS IS THE WAY!"

I genuinely see weird beings from beyond - ghosts, angelic interactions intersecting Earth, sometimes demons on people's backs when I'm working detox at the mental hospital, not unlike that American Horror Story heroin addict scene at Lady Gaga's hotel. It's Predator-vision for the interdimensional, and it can be a nightmare in places full of bad energy.

The track lives on Magda Luna LP "Lucid Dreaming," exploring being simultaneously alive in both physical world and dreamland, which are equally real - a multimedia conceptual project about trusting the weird when everything familiar stops making sense.

The video itself remixes several of my older individual pieces of video art done with models long before I could make good music. Doing this project has made me see how the threads of what I'm doing today in LA go back decades.
