New art
Added 2020-04-23 18:12:56 +0000 UTCIn addition to the zines I just mentioned, I've been trying my hand at some new kinds of media. Last night was my first experience with Procreate and the Apple Pencil and here's what I made whilst watching one of my favorite horror films The VVitch with my ladies.
One is just randomness from the noggin, 2 are characters from the film, one is a self portrait, and the naked lady is using a 3d posing app to generate my model. Today I'l do more experimenting with people I actually photograph and perhaps my naked wife!
Having tried multiple forms of iPad art over the last 5 years or so, I'm really floored by Procreate and the Pencil, and similarly with what I've been doing with VR Painting in Google Tilt Brush. Mainly the fear component of making art is removed when you know you can apply a mark or draw something ridiculous knowing you can just undo if it's a bad mark, and also you can apply very geometric/ straight line stuff with ease when necessary.
